Comments on this Consulate-General
hello
i am trying for the last 3 days to fill a visa form in but it never accept the password you ask .
i dont know what should do ?
Regards
Hello.
I am writing to you to express my utter shock and indignation for fees charged by British Consular services.
I recently ordered a "Certificate de Coutume" from the British Embassy Services in Paris.
I need this form in order to obtain civil union in France with my partner.
Whilst on the official gouv.uk site I remember seeing a tariff of 6.55€ for the return postage.
I have no memory of a consular fee for 81.00€, because if I had I surely would have remembered it.
I was knocked off my feet for a bill totaling 87.55€ for ONE PIECE OF A4 PAPER !!!!!!
How on earth do you justify such a price ???
I understand that I have to pay for a service, but I do not at all understand why it costs so much.
I would like to read you reply as to what justifies 81.00€ for ONE PIECE OF A4 PAPER, albeit with a signature and an official stamp.
Is the paper made from gold and encrusted with diamonds ???
Whilst I'm on the subject of getting ripped off by British Consular services, I would also like to point out that when I had to order a new passport 1 year ago, I had to pay TWICE AS MUCH as a regular UK citizen.
How do you justify such flagrant over charging ????
I am sick of British Consular Services holding ex patriots to ransom.
It seems to me that because we have no other choice but to use British Consular Services, that you can charge any price you like, and we either have to accept overinflated prices, or not get official British documents.
I am absolutely outraged.
And please, spare me the usual whitewash reply of "It's not us who decide, it's London"...I already got that from the Consular Services in Paris...
Hi i wonder if you could help me? I am trying to allocate my Fiance as he is Limousin,Friday they were without power all day friday til saturday afternoon and early hours sunday morning i lost contact with him,and cant seem to get hold him since online or by mobile.Would they be any relevant information for me in how to find him and bring him home and also whether there are any power cuts, loss of internet or bad weather in that area. Thanks
NS&I demand IDs (Birth Certificates/passports/parents' tax notice)written and certified in English by Embassy/Consulate or Lawyer. My grandchildren live in Millau, France, and my daughter tells me lawyers will only accept French translations of documents which they will certify in French. The two children already hold Children's Bonds with NS&I which were valid with English IDs and certified in English when they lived
in the UK, but new regs. in November 2012 require new IDs as above for subsequent Bond applications. How can we proceed? If I cannot get advice from you, where can I obtain it?
My fiancée is stranded in Paris. Her Passport and
Residency Document are lost or stolen. What should she do

At the end June I lost both my and my wife's passports and had to make a trip to Pris to obtain temporary ones to get back to England.
A young lady named Lauren looked after us and she did a magnificent job. She was so kind and helpful and went out of her way to make sure we were on our way as quickly as possible. She deserves a pat on the back for her kindness and manner.
