With the new dual citizenship retention letter problems in SA I am trying to find out of I will still require this of I was registered at birth.

My British passport expires on 20th January 2015.
I also have a South African passport which is valid until 2022.
Will there be any problem travelling to London end of December & returning beginning January?

I need details on a working visa/permit for the UK. My son has a valid SA Passport and he would like to travel to the UK to work, perhaps apply on a rig. What documents and info would we need to process and how long would the visa be valid for? He has accommodation already in place. Regards Jane
