I am South African who want's to work in England for 2 months as a carer. How do I go about applying for a visa?
Good day.
Iam a Zimbabwean national, doing my PhD at University of the Western Cape. I have recently been selected to present my research at an international conference at the IDS, University of Sussex in the UK. However, my concern is that I have been living in SA for almost 8 years now and I am using a refugee status which I renew every four years. I do hold a Zimbabwean passport but it does not have a permit. My question is, is it possible for me to apply for a UK visa here, considering the fact that I donot have an SA permit in my passport? But, I am a legal migrant because I have a refugee status. May you please advise.
My email is tapiwachatikobo@gmail.com
Kind regards,
Tapiwa
Good Day
I will be travelling to London shortly at the end of May but ihave a concer re my visa - the UK immigration officer stamped over the “until” date of my visa.
Will this be a problem? It should be on your system but i would like to check ahead of my trip.
Please advise.
Kind REgards
Petra
Good day,
I have a new British passport,I do have permanent residence in SA, do you still have to have your passport stamped 'permanent residence' or have to have the original permit when entering SA from travelling overseas.
Kind regards
Hi,
The address of the British Consulate in Cape Town has moved to the corner of De Smit and Somerset in Green Point, please update the address on the website as it creates a lot of confusion.
I intend visiting our children in the USA soon and will be travelling from Cape Town via London to the USA.
Do I need a DATV if:
1. I hold a South African passport.
2. I'm travelling from South Africa to the USA on a USA visitors visa.
3. I'm travelling via Heathrow on my forward and return journeys.
4. I will not leave the airport on any of the journeys.
In the section headed “Transit without a Visa” it would appear that I do not require a UK Transit Visa. I would be grateful if you would confirm whether I am correct.
Sincerely
Lydia Meier
