My children are still in S.A and we applied for the unabridged birth certificates more than 2 moths ago. The lady in Pretoria claims that my children were late registered. But it was a renewal in 2003 when they came to Namibia to stay with me. We also contacted a other lady working in home affairs Pretoria and she informed us that there is nothing wrong with the paper work and that it must just been issued by this woman working in that department. Is there any help from your side to make this happen before the 13 of March. They are going to lose their place in school and there are no openings in Namibian school. I just want my kids home. I applied for the replacement of my birth certificate 18 months ago, I was told to collect it after 8 months, i went and it had not arrived and I was told they would follow up and contact me. No contact was made, i then forwarded an email to SA Head office and was told they would follow up, still nothing, I have subsequently sent another 5 emails with absolutely no response.
How do i get a copy of my birth certificate?
I have been trying to call the office but only get response from answering machine.
