Birth certificate
Hi I was born in Sicily and I need my birth certificate with an apostille, also translated into Spanish. The apostille has to come from Italy since that's where I was born. This is needed because I need to get married in Dominican Republic and This is their requirement. Can anyone please direct me to the right office to do this. Thank you

affidavit (clarification of citizenship)
I would appreciate any advise that you could offer.
I have been living in Sicily as a legal resident for three years and have been told that as I have italian ancestry I can have duel citizenship now.
I have the all the birth and marriage certificates (with seals) from 2008 obtained from vital statistics in Connecticut. I have read the documents need to be recent, but no time frame was mentioned. Are they still valid?
Do I need an affidavit (clarification of citizenship) or will my passport suffice?
Lastly, can the birth and marriage certificates be translated here in Italy and who is authorized to validate the documents in Italy?
Thank you in advance for any help that you may offer,
Regards, Paul Mahoney

Assistance
I am a US and California citizen. I live in Sonoma County. I have been defrauded of over $1000 by an Italian vendor, with whom I did business online. I paid for an item by wire transfer that the vendor admits I never received (it never left Italy, having apparently been stolen), yet he refuses to refund the money to me or even share the loss. I have his name, address and phone number. Do you think I have any legal recourse? Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Carole
