We moved to France in 2011 and early in 2012 I applied for a carte vitale with my British passport as identity. After many visits to l'Assurance Maladie in Menton I was told that my dossier was en course. Now I have received a letter from them stating that the translation of my birth certificate is not acceptable because it was made by a traducteur assermenté in Monaco and they must have it from a French traducteur assermenté. Is it worth arguing the case? I thought that French is the official language in Monaco.
