Comments on this High Commission
Thanks a lot mate.
We researched, prepared & compiled the docs ourselves.
Consulted a brilliant UK solicitor and paid him a very reasonable amount to assess the case.
With the solicitor's covering letter on top of my docs I handed over the whole lot to VAC.
Did you use a solicitor or prepared the case at your own?
Nice, you have wealth of information mate. God bless.
who are you ali
My case was pretty complicated, they issued Vignette the day before BUT that does not mean the decision was made on the same date.
ECO might have approved visa days/weeks back and transferred Passport to Vignette Issuing Department notifying them to affix Vignette maximum by XX/XX/20XX date. Then after Vignette is pasted the docs are sealed-up and transferred to Despatch Department and they ship off your docs to the VAC where you applied.
My date will not be your parameter as you/others might have a straight forward case and decision might have been made after few days/weeks of receiving application BUT regardless of whichever date your Vignette is pasted, it's more than likely your RFC will still be day 62.
The time of ur Vignette will help to understand how much time they actually took to take the decision in ur case n then c can assume something in our case.
Takes you a while to get a grip on things don't it mate
phase does that show you when ur visa will get rfc?
Thanks.
Just to let you know it's called a Vignette, not stamp.
That date is irrelevant as it's not a set rule that Vignette will be issued a set number of days before Passport despatch to VAC.
To calculate your expected RFC date (for spouse visa application only)
-goto http://www.work-day.co.uk/
-select your application date in 'start date'
-click the 'working days' counter to 62 days
-your expected RFC is the date shown in 'end date'
This is currently accurate for Nov2012 to Jan2013 applicants.
