apply for uk visa
Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I, Mohammad Rafi the resident of Kabul Afghanistan, was employed as a Local Interpreter by British Forces (ISAF) in Naad Ali District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan from Aug 2010 till Jan 2011.

As the countries of ISAF members have been giving an opportunity to the Local Interpreters to join them as residents in their respective countries, I would like to be considered to join as a resident of the United Kingdom, the country I worked for.

As ISAF is completing its mission in Afghanistan and it has started to withdraw its troops, I personally feel insecure to live a normal life in my village due to the fact that I have been known to have worked with the ISAF.

Considering the threat I am exposed to and the service I have done with you, I would like to be considered for an opportunity to apply for British citizenship and live a safe and secure life in the United Kingdom.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely Yours,
Mohammad Rafi "Karimi"

Afghan Local Linguist
My message is regarding Afghan local interpreters who have worked with British Troops in Helamand, Afghanistan.
There are to many interpreters who are waiting for their visas to get resettled to UK. This process takes long time to get a UK visa. These interpreters have no other job to support their families and their states have became as a prison for them, cause they can not got to the other afghan states due to security reason and risks which they are facing with. For example, I live in Kabul but if I find a job in Helmand or other south provinces, I can not go to there because of the risks and threats to my life.
Interpreters wait for there visa for more than a year. This is a long time and during this time these interpreters face with challenges most importantly economic problems. They can not find another job. First because there is no job and if there be the company will ask for their experiences which the linguists can give there details regarding where and with who they have worked. I asking British embassy to get these interpreters out of Afghanistan as soon as possible before they face with problems which Iraqi interpreters had faced.
If the British embassy do not voice to there interpreters, these interpreters would be the victims of the British mission in Afghanistan. Please make the visa process shorter before putting your partners life in danger!
