i applied for a special skill permit on 28 September 2017 and i still have not received any update from the embassy.
I'm still waiting for my permit since 28 September 2017. i don't know how does it take to process a special skills permit

@Liz @Victor thank you so much. Do they take my old passport when I apply for a new one? I have a permit that is valid until June next year when my passport expires. I am currently on a study visa, and want to convert to a CSV, which is why I need a new passport.
Consulate whatsapp No# +27 82 824 9435..they respond fast...but carry ID + Birth Certificate ...carry writing pen as its so important coz there are letters you need to write wen there...email me on lizazekp@gmail.com
You need to take with you:
Zim ID, Birth Certificate, R350, Marriage certificate if married, 2 colour passport photos

Can anyone please explain to how to go about getting a new passport if in SA?
I understand I must go to the consulate to get the forms, but I do not know what documents I need to take with me whn I go to the consulate, and how much I will have to pay.
The consulate phones are going unanswered.

Hi All
I want to apply for a visa for my wife as an accompanying spouse. So I have heard the talk of the money that is supposed to be in the bank account. If I may ask does that 8500 have to include me or its just the applicant as I already have a permit or it will be counted as two people thus my account would need at least 17000 as the bank balance.
