I would like to get my Portuguese citizenship, father born in Portugal, mother Canadian. They were not married but lived common law in Canada, do I need any document extra or just bring in fathers birth certificate, mine and my mother's long for birth certificate and canadian passport?

I too was born here in Toronto and my parents back home. The people at the embassy were very helpful and it can get frustrating. For those you asking, I had to get registro nascimento (parent's birth certificate), they married here so we had to register the marriage back home and wait for a slip to come from portugal, then I had to get a long form birth certificate for me showing my parents names on my canadian birth certificate. I then had to wait for a paper confirming all this was done, and then I waited about 4 months then called in and they confirmed for me that everything was ok and from there I went in to do the bilete intidade (not sure if spelling is good) but it's the id card and once the id card came in, I applied for the passaport. Not sure if it's the same scenario for all but that was my experience and the employees at the embassy were great! Thank you
