Comments on this Consulate-General
My brother Peter and myself have been working on our rightful Italian citizenship since 1996. We have an enormous amount of time and money in this endeavor. The translator you recomended has had our documents for over 3 years. We are very concerned and frustrated. Please respond.

I recently learned that my late father had a child out of wedlock during WWII, while stationed in Italy.
His Army records are incomplete about this issue.
I do know her name (Sophia or Sofia)and she was able to track him back to Philadelphia after his discharge in 1945.
Unfortunately, no records exist regarding possible paternity and/or support that was established in this matter.
is there any type of data base in Italy which identifies chidren on who were left behind by US servicemen?
Can you help?
Thanks,
John C. Lemon, Jr.
My grandparents were citizens of Italy. I would like information on citizenship so i can get the process moving.
Thank you,

I am an italian/american. My grandparents were born in Italy. My son,Ambrose Campana and myself would like to live in Italy and reconnect with relatives there.I am retired with adequate resources to live. I want to buy a casa in Napoli. Chow. Grracias
I applied for "residenza elletiva" which in effect means I want to go there because I want to and stay as long as I like. It is not easy to get. I was received very politely, and on time. The visa was granted that day. All proper documents were duly returned.
My papers were well in order. I had written a letter, in Italian, explaining my Italian connections (not descent). I was dressed in the only way I know to go before a foreign diplomat on official business--dark suit and polished shoes. My experience was entirely pleasant. A number of other applicants seemed to be dressed for the beach, a course which I do not recommend.
I recently recieved my italian citizenship (dual) and the experience was more than wonderful.
The staff was exceptionally professional and understanding.
My compliments to the Consulate!
I AM AN ITALIAN CITIZAN AND WHEN I LIVED IN WASHINGTON DC I USED TO RECEIVE VOTING CARDS AND OTHER THINGS FROM THE EMBASSY, NOW I LIVE IN PHILADELPHIA, HOW DO I LET THEM KNOW WHERE I AM?
We have 6 friends visiting the Italian riviera in September and need some help with tours, maps and travel details. Can you help us?
My experience with the consulate ion Phiadelphia has been miserable. They have NEVER responded except once to multiple phone calls , messages and e mails. Am I alone in this experience?
