In this web site, you are invited to share your experience with the French Consulate Geberak -obtaining visas and other services, locating the bilding and so on.They will nog guide you as to how to apply french nationality certificte. They are concerned with the french persons who have registerd their names with them. The certificate of french nationality can be asked by french persons born and settled out of France who conserve their French nationality, to the Greffier en chef in France who is the sole asuthority to issue or refuse CNF.. In case of refusal you can prefer appeal to the French minister and Cusstodian of seal(Garde des Sceaux. You may also file a suit before a competent tribunal TGI in Paris by engaging as french advocate practising before this cout in France. So I advise you to submit your case to a French lawyer in Frasnce well conversant in the matter of french nationality. Under the Frano Indian treaty 1956 which came into foce on 15.8 1862 the french citizens born in French India, eho have completed 28 years of age, either in French India or Indian Union were asked to give in writing within 6 months a declaration of option to conserve their french nastionality. In default they will lose their french nationality and become Indians. I add further that your claim may be time barred under article 30-3 of french civil code. Yours sincerely
Hello Sir, I'm Madhan Kumar and actually digging to the 3rd generation of mine in reverse chronology of my frontiers to explain. In short, my maternal grandmother is a Pondicherrian(India) by birth and my maternal grandfather is from Tamilnadu(India). As per tradition, they both got married well before the month of August on the year 1962.(A treaty giving back the French colony of Pondicherry, as it was then called, to India was signed in August 1962. According to the treaty, people living in Pondicherry were given French citizenship) Subsequent to their marriage, my grandmother moved to my Grandfather's residence in Tamilnadu(India).
Subsequently they got in their routine and had a peaceful life and children. All the children are having their date of birth's registered in Pondicherry which bears both my Grandfather and Grandmother as their official parents. Somehow, I couldn't trace any data regarding their marriage registration but all i could get is their marriage invitation card. The invitation card bears everything on their marriage. Their(My mom and her brothers) birth certificates are a clear evidence that they both are married to each other well before the treaty since the first kid born to them was born before the treaty date. Let me know the procedure to apply for French nationality and the testimonials required as currently, I have the marriage invitation card of my grandparents, my maternal uncle's birth certificates and my mother's birth certificate as well. We did invest a lot of time and energy to search for the registration copy of their marriage but not could be obtained as on date. But that certification alone shouldn't be considered as a proof for their marriage. I can even share my maternal uncle's and my mom's marriage invitation card which clearly bears my grandfather and grandmother name as their official parents. Should i request the consulate to consider the other proofs mentioned as justification to my request? Could you guide me on this.
