Sir,
Tour mother was born in 1959 in Pondicherry, You must know the effects of the Franco indian treaty, 1956 regarding merger of Fr.India into Indian Union. This treaty came into force on 16.8.1962. Six months time aas given to French citizens born in Fr.India to give in writing the declaration of option to conserve their French nationality, If they wish they were allowed to include the names of their minor children in their declaration of option, If your maternal grand father was a french citizen born in Fr. India and made option conserve his french nationality, yoor mother can claim for CNF ny )filiation paternelle) as born before 16,08. 1962. She cabnot claim CNF by way of her mother ie.your grand mother. Yours sincerely,
