I have applied my French nationality as per norms in March month 2015. However, I have not received any reply from "service de la nationalité des Français nés et établis hors de France". Kindly let me know how to know the present status of my application.
Sir,
You have not mentioned the place of birth of your father, He was a minor aged about 3 years in 1962, If your grand father and father were french nationals born in French India, the grand father will lose his french nastionality snd become Indin in default of option and your father will become also India,.As a minor he could not maske the declaration of option. But your grand father was given the task of making option on behaslf ofthe minor son. Please not be content with this reply. I advise you to consult a french advocate with your papers, Yours sincerely

Madam,
To claim for the certificate of french nationality, you have to prove the following,
- your father was a french national. If so, he should have given in writing to the French cosul general in Podicherry his declaration of option to conserve the french nationality. This is required by .the Franco- Indian treaty of 1956 which came into force on 16.8.1962 and
- your mother was a french nastional. If so she is
exempted by the said treaty,to make option delcaration, as born in Tamil Nadu.
The date of marriage of your parents and your date and place of birth are not given,
If you are really interested in getting CNF, please
consul an advocate knowing the subject of fdrench nastionality, Your sincerely
my father was born since 1943 in pondicherry and my monther born TN 1963. yes,I have two birth certificates. If possible for french nationality
Sir,
Pleqse find below the english translation of the article 30-3 of civil code.
« when an individual resides or has resided at abroad, where the ancestors of whom he holds by filiation the nationality had fixed residence during more than half a century, this individual won't be admitted to adduce evidence that he has by filiation, the French nationality if himself and the one of his/her father and mother who were susceptible to transmit it to him didn't have the possession of French status."
Yours sincerely
Madam.
You have to prove that at the time of your birth, either your father or mother was of french nationality,
Yours sincerely.
