I applied the French nationality for me. I received a letter from the service de la nationalite that I should wait for 12 to 22 months. Still 3 months is remaining to complete that time given. When I will get the reply and it takes nearly 2years. Shall I receive a good reply.
I need to ask one more doubt. In case of rejection how much time they will takes?
Sir/madam
If you residing within the jurisdiction of the french consulate general at Pondicherry, ie. Pondicherry UT, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, you can very well get an appointment with Nationality section and enquire by showing your papers. Usually the fr.authority issuing nationality certificate asks the applicants to wait for 22 months. In your case, this time expired. So,you can send a reminder with the copy of acknowledgment receipt of your application. Yours sincerely
hello sir,
sir 3yrs over still waiting for decision for my mom CNF.dont know so much time they are taking for cnf plzz help sir.
yours sincerely
Sir,
I presume that your father was a french citizen and your mother a foreigner to French India. If my presumption is correct, your father should have opted to conserve fr. nationality and included your name as a minor in his declaration of option. On his failure to do so, he became Indian and you followed his condition ie, Indian national. If your mother was a native of Indian Unionm she could have acquired french nationality by marrying your father,
a french citizen at that time, subject to some conditions. According to the treaty of cession 1956 you could not claim fr. nationality through your mother. But if you have brother or sister born after 16.08.1962, they are eligible to claim french nationality through your mother. Please note that this site is available only to submit your grievances if any in your dealings with the french general consulate and visa service. Your nationality matter may be correctly attended if you contact a french advocate in his office with relevant papers. Please dont blame me that I am not good. I am doing benevolent work. Yours sincerely,
My dad born in pondicherry in 1927.my mom in villupuram 1936.they got married in 1949.I'm born in 1955.but my father didn't give option to fr nationality..I'm 7 at 1962 can I apply for fr nationality??.I have all birth certificate and marriage certificates
