Comments on this High Commission
Hi, I am a Portuguese citizen and holder of valid Portuguese passport as well as a South African passport (dual citizenship) - I am married to a South African citizen for 20 years - our children live/reside in the UK.
we would like to visit our children in July 2018 and would like to know what the VISA requirements are for my South African spouse to accompany me to the UK on a short visit (3 weeks).
thank you and kind regards
I so badly wants to know how i can get my passport in time. Need to travel with my family to the UK this coming Tuesday. Is there any way i can contact the Embassy? So worried!
I submitted my visa application for the UK (transit on my way to France, and one week stay on my way back from France), and no-one can tell me where in the process my visa / passport is. I am leaving this coming Wed and I still do not have my passport back. Please can someone assist urgently. We called the UK visa centre and besides them following the script to the letter and costing us R240 for a one minute call, we still do not know where the passport or the visa application is. How is it that a Schengen visa takes 2 days and the UK one cannot even be traced after 3 weeks?
Dear Sir/Madam,
My wife and I are leaving for Belgium on November 29. We have applied for our Schengen Visas and they are being processed.
When I asked if we needed transit visas nobody could advise me. I even tried the Hom Office in the UK and the office of British Airways. The company handling the visa applications here in Pretoria will not assist me in any way. I tried to make an appointment to discuss my dilemma but it was all to no avail.
It is imperative that we get the visas on time all my efforts are to no avail.
Please HELP us we are both octogenarians and cannot run for one place to the other. The administration of the company is very unfriendly.
Perhaps you can assist me.
Tried info@passport-office.co.uk No joy ALSO TRIED TO CALL.
Waiting about 3 months now
Last correspondence on the 13th October sent by registered mail express to Freeman's Reach riverside place Durham City
Please try and assist me.
I have no valid passport right now

I am absolutely appalled that the ECO processing my application who misunderstood simple documentation & basically created a new version. Believes that I would leave my hard earned assets to not return from the UK. I seriously think you should hire staff that are competent & thorough in their investigation & who will not imply that honest hardworking people are liars. What's the point of receiving our documents if you're not interested in verifying the information.
I have been in UK for the past four years. It happened that I lost my passport which had a visa in it. Then what I need is just to know if it will be possible to transfer the visa into my new passport. I am at home now in Swaziland, but want to go back to UK soon. Can I get help?
How often does the High Commission in Pretoria offer or schedule the British citizenship ceremony?
