Seeking an Aviation scholarship
I am an ambitious 18years old form four leaver with an unquenchable thirst of achieving my dreams and an earnest desire of being a pilot.
I am genuinely writing for your esteemed assistance in acquiring a full aviation scholarship to study aviation at CAE OXFORD AVIATION ACADEMY in the United Kingdom.
Just like Lupita Nyong'o said, "No matter where you are from, your dreams are valid." I am confident in your esteemed assistance in connecting me to my dreams of becoming a pilot.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my scholarship qualifications in greater detail with the Ambassador in person at your earliest convenience. You may contact me on 0729177018.

Looking for the First Board of directors from the U.K
Am Victor Nadebu the programs manager for Busia Sunset Kenya. Busia Sunset is a grassroots organization that aims to reverse rural urban migration by fighting extreme poverty in Hakati, a remote village of 10000 people in Busia. We are registered in Kenya through the Ministry of Labour Social and Security Services REG NO 31047. The village has one of the highest poverty rates in the country of 70 percent. Almost every family lives in a grass thatched hut. One in every three children sleep hungry and there is very poor school enrollment because of poverty and the long distance from the village to the nearest school- 6 kilometres. According to data from the Kenyan Government 32.4 percent of children the age of going to school do not attend school in Busia County. Families have average of 10 children and make only 14 dollars a month and because of erratic rainfall, poor farming methods and very high migration of the youth the village is in a social crisis. According to government statistics over 56% of young people born in Busia County migrate when they reach they reach 20- 30 years. Only 3.6 percent of the residents have access to clean water. Women and girls walk for 8 kilometres to access the nearest water source. A majority of the residents cannot afford to send their children to school and because of the proximity of the village to the Kenya- Uganda border HIV rates are significantly higher than the rest of the country with a prevalence of 7.4 percent. A large number of children have been orphaned or neglected.

We offer a bold, innovative solutions for helping the residents of Hakati village lift themselves out of extreme poverty using education, youth and women empowerment.

In the past one year, we have been operating through our personal savings and also through the efforts of the youth and volunteers like teacher Naomi. However, in order to fully implement our strategic objectives, we feel it would be appropriate for the organisation to be registered in the United Kingdom. This is necessary in order to allow us get donors and also apply for International grants from foundations as most of them require you to be registered by the IRS. It will also enable us to run effective online fundraising initiatives. Our current registration in Kenya only allows us to apply for grants from Kenyan Foundations or from the government which limits the ability of the organization to fully achieve its objectives. Most of the International donors also shy away from donating to organisations that do not have 501 (c) 3 registration status.

We are now in the process of nominating a first voluntary Board of Directors to lead this new initiative and assist us achieve our strategic goals. It is our honour to nominate any willing member of the UK to serve in the founding board of directors for Busia Sunset. If you would consider being nominated,CONTACT +254729435620 OR busiasunset11@gmail.com or vickynadebu12@gmail.com
