Miami consulate
The Miami consulate is the best. Polite staff, respectfull, helpful, very efficient. I must mention Miss Nanlall. She needs special comemdation. She always make you feel welcomed and at home. The receptionist is very prompt and polite. So I guess we need the kind of staff that are in Miami to work in New York. Not forgetting their mannerism on the phone is perfect

t&t website needs updating
If you have a question for the t&t consulate located in ny please do not call over the phone because they DO NOT answer their phones. They are paid for being rude and uncooperative with their OWN trini residents.
And also the T&T consulate website is always under reconstruction. What rubbish! They need people who need to work their not to be idle.

Insult
In 2005 I went to get my passport to travel. I was just involved in a bad car accident December 2004 and had a lot of trauma. The gentleman that was taking care of me was very rude. He looks at my passport picture that I took and looked at me and said to me your only 43 you look bad and he was loud. One of the ladies that work there said to him that he was being rude. But he stated what I'm just looking at the picture. I will never forget that that.

Let us take action.
I do need my birth certificate but with all the negative comments about bad work ethics I am disappointed, however I have to go get my own experiences. I have notice that all other groups of people welcome and treat their own with dignity and respect. How come Trinidadians are so rough with their own people. So far I have not heard anyones ideas on how to solve this disrespectful and bad work related ethics problem, after all there must be someone responsible for this disgust. Let's find out who that might be.

WAS INSULTED BY THE SECURITY GUARD AND FRONT DESK ATTENDANTS.
I HAVE BENN TRYING TO GET MY NEW MACHINE READABLE PASSPORT SINCE JUNE OF 2012. WAS ADVISED THAT I NEEDED ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK. WENT BACK IN SEPTEMBER ,YET AGAIN WAS TOLD I NEEDED ANOTHER DOCUMENT. RETURNED AGAIN IN DECEMBER AND THESE INCOMPETENT WORKERS AGAIN FOUND ANOTHER PROBLEM, WHICH ALL CORRECTIONS CAN ONLY BE RECTIFIED IN TRINIDAD. AFTER SANDY STORM I RETURNED AGAIN WITH ALL THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK THAT WAS ASKED FOR AND AGAIN ENCOUNTER ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH MY AFFIDAVIT WHICH WAS DONE IN TRINIDAD AND HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN, AFTER THIS I RETURNED TWO TIMES INCLUDING TODAY AND WAS INSULTED BY THE GUARD WHEN HE WAS SLANDERING MY HUSBAND AND MY SELF, GOSSIPING WITH THE TWO LADIES AT THE FRONT DESK, WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT I CAN HEAR HIM INSINUATING HE TOLD ME TO SHUT UP AND MIND MY BUSINESS, WHEN HE WAS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO, BECAUSE HE WAS ALL UP IN MINE.. WE NEED A CHANGE IN THIS CONSULATE.... THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE MORE EFFICIENT. THEY ARE THERE TO HELP TRINIDADIANS NOT BE IDLY AND DISCUSSING APPLICANTS FILE IN MOCKERY. NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO GO THERE SO MANY TIMES JUST FOR A SIMPLE PASSPORT...
