Comments on this Consulate-General
I can't believe I would have physically come down to New York to take care of my passport. This is 2013 people!!! Get with the times!!! Can we say "think outside the box!!!?" Trinidad people need to improve their work ethics, because quite frankly - it sucks!!!
I think we should all hire a bus a go down to DC, and Demand that we get our passports. It's crazy, that we get this kind of treatment in NY. The DC embassy # 202-467-6490
This is d worst. Trying to get and appointment over a month now no one answers the ph i finally got a person she said email me ur info i did 2 weeks ago still waiting for a reply. Y us our system so slow u can get a us appointment an your passport in a day but u wait over 6 weeks for a Trinidad passport and these blasted people can't answer d phone to give u an appointment. It is disgusting in this modern time we still so backwward. People work thats d reason for technology to make life eaiser. The employees at the Consulate need to get their act together..
I am trying to find out how to get my Trinidad birth certificate ,I called the consulate 50 times always voice mail no one ever return phone calls, what's going on.
what is wrong with the The T&T conclulate - they treat their people like they really don't care. Ashamed of my country people.
I cannot believe I have been trying to get to speak with a human being in the consulate for over a month. Left voice message to no avail. Friday I finally got someone after being on hold for more than 10mins. When they came on She barely stayed on the phone for a minute. "You are breaking up very badly" and then click. Tried to call back and voicemail all over again. Today is Tuesday still getting voicemails. I am disgusted. They are so backward. Jamaicans have no problems renewing their passports (They have the electronic passports) nor have I heard of anyone having problems with their consulates. This is just disgusting.
Completed application on 10/10/2012 which i was told i would get passport back in 6 weeks and then came sandy so cool every thing was mess up .so the in the beginning off March i started calling and no answer phone ring ring ring and ring so today i finialy go a the operator after tranfering me to the person i need to speak to was busy the call came back to the operator which was kind off helpfull who told me my passport was ready . But here the shit now I have to mail in my yellow slip for the to mail my passport to me which is nott a problem .But when i completed my appliacation I was given a paper in black and white which says.
Persons whose pasports lost, damaged or mutilated will automatically recive their new passport {MRP]by mail.No submission is required.
Now they telling me I have to mail suff in after they took my money .Its a Damm shame and i will make a legal matter about it if need too. Trinidad people need to stop putting up with the shit in the USA .
I HAVE BEEN CALLING TO CALL TRINIDAD CONSULATE NYC FOR THE PASS WEEK JUST TO GET AN APPOINTMENT TO RENEW MY PASSPORT NOBODY 3 WEEKS NOBODY IS ANSWERING OR RETURNING MY CALL, I WOULD THINK BECAUSE U ALL ARE IN AMERICA U WUD GET BETTER SERVICE THAN THAT BUT ITS WORST THAN TRINIDAD COME ON I LIVE IN BOSTON IM NOT DRIVING DISTANCE (STEUUUUUUUUUUUUUPS)
Really, you have same day passport and visa for the US but no human contact to the Trinidad Consulate. Incredible. I left you a message. I am counting down the clock to see how long it takes to get a response for an appointment for a Trinidad passport.
Not only is the Trinidad consulate in New York unreachable by email, the consulate in Trinidad is also unreachable by email
