those who got thru in record time...good for you. That is very far and few and in between. 99% OF THE STAFFING IS STILL INEPT, DISRESPECTFUL AND DON'T CARE, NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE, RUDE AN NONCHALANT...And MUST BE FIRED....This board if FULL OF DISSATISFIED AND ANGRY TO BONE FOLKS...THIS MESS MUST STOP. The newspaper back home should hear about this maybe things will change.

Rude people at the Consulate
I thought I was the only one angry with these fools. This is 2016 and we must do better to help out with travel documents. Eric Williams must be turning in his grave....I am so disturbed with the ineptness of the TRINIDADIAN STAFF...their impoliteness and ignorance gots to GO. They are rude and don't give a darn about the people they were employed to serve....I feel like a person without a birth place..Don't want to be caught going to these places anymore. Maybe the consulate in Canada might be more pleasant.

Passport
I have been calling for 2 days. My husband applied for his passport earlier this year and were told about 6 months. His sister is very ill in hospital and we are not sure how things will turn out. We were trying to get to Trinidad by next week but I am unable to reach anyone to verify if his passport is ready and I do not want to take a trip to NY in vain. I will look again for the receipt but someone should be answering the phones.

upgrade of website
trinidad consulate website have been down for 2 months and has not yet been upgraded and running guyana just recently upgraded their website to help their people with passport and other things like i said we are very backward the same mentality from back in trinidad you see it in the passport office in nyc how the staff treat us thats why all those carribbean countries are moving foward and we are behind they cant even have their website up and running what a disgrace

they are very backward same mentality as back in trinidad it seems as though the staff at the consulate are out to give you a hard time or they are jealous thats why trinidad is not moving foward in the usa in this day and age with high tech. they are still backward another thing they should do is send a text alert to your phone to know if your passport arrive i would not let these people cramp my style just have the correct paper work and all will be well

Positive experience
After reading some of the negative reviews above I was hesitant to contact your office. However, I had no choice and when I did I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt, pleasant and efficient service I received. My contact person was Trudy. My interaction with her very professional and helpful

too long a wait
I went to the consulate today to renew my passport, everyone there was friendly an that was nice but they need to work on how long they take to interview people it takes to long to interview someone also its vey boring to have to wait long an have the tv on silent come on now its on cnn an its on close caption an people waiting long for something that should take 5 mins the most please look into this an make the experience more enjoyable
