I have been calling all day all to all the departments and all the lines are going to voicemail.
Please close that office the people are getting paid to do nothing.
Am sorry but they are not representing Trinidadians & Tobagonians this is madness.
I just connected to all the lines to see who can give me some info. believe it or not all the departments went to voice mail.

We are better than this!
Please! If no one will be civil enough to answer the phones, or return a call when a message is left on the recorder, then by all means, please do not publish the number! This is simply disgraceful!!

Helpless, and Discourteous
Good Morning. It is most unfortunate that as a Trinidad national who has been hesitant to become an American citizen, I now feel compelled to do just that since receiving the most discourteous and helpless information from nationals of Trinidad who work at the consulate. I live in the southwest, and there is no office close that does not entail plane travel. Your Miami and Houston office phones are either out of service, or no one answers; how is this helpful!

I have lived in America for over 30 years, and dealt with persons of different nationalities and unfortunately, Trinidadians are the worse! It is disheartening to no longer feel a sense of pride when speaking of, or about my birth country and it's people. I have better service from the United States officials, than my country men. That should speak volumes about what we lack with regard to civil and human services!

Understand, this is a "public service" and "customer service" environment in which you function, and the first impression leave much to be desired. Is this the manner in which you speak to your Prime Minister, Ministers of Parliament and foreign dignitaries, your mothers, fathers, and the essence of your future? Instead of cultivating the worst of North America, try instead to model the BEST of your encounters with foreign and perhaps, local persons; and thereby achieve a modicum of civility that will have a better impact on not just yourselves, but on the foreign market you strive to attract.

I have been trying to get information about my birth certificate so I may get a new passport. It's disheartening that I can call, inquire by email and leave messages without getting a single response. Where is the caring for your compatriots, why the disrespect?

Unprofessional and Backward
The workers in there are unprofessional, vague, and uninformative.I applied to renew my passport and paid to have it mailed back to me. A sheet was given after the payment, that the old one has to be mailed in or bought in. No one has the decency to say that before which means you loses the money. They are thieves, cheat, and a bunch of liars. This will get them nowhere and something really needs to be done and changes has to be made. They are nothing but dumb.

Unprofessional and rude
You would think that living in the US by now they would get with the program! Rude, unprofessional and ignorant attitude. Miami never answers the bloody hell phone. You call Houston and they tell you they don't see about passport renewal they proceed to put you onto Washington. When you call Washington they direct you back to Miami with a fax number and phone number that is no longer in service! Seriously??! Bloody hell ridiculous and incompetent in this day and age! Shame on you all.
