Frustrating
I called and NO ONE picks up the phone.. Yet the answering machine says "we are availbe for inquires between so and so! This office is a joke! Unprofessional, RUDE and Disrespectful... Took 3 months to get birth cert and 6 months for new pasport. Apparently it came and no one had the courtsey to call and let me know... And they get paid for this. I work for a large corporation here in NY and I would never treat my clients like how this office treats us... They all need to be fired or re-trained in dealing with the Public..I am also emailing the the person Joseph has on his blog... I agree with everything negative thing you all said. Such a shame that our beautiful counrty is being represented by uneducated professional.

Don't put them all in one Basket
As an educated person i must say that not all the workers at the Consulate rae the same. Yes there are thoes who think their fart don't stink and that the people who come there are at their mercy, but at the same time there are people who feel that because they are in America they are all the names that they are calling the staff at the consulate and more. You don't solve problems that way! Why don't you all with your problems and you experiences when complaning address it to the embassador and include some suggestions to aid in solveing your problems. WE ARE ALWAYS HASTY TO JUDGE AND REBUKE WHEN THINGS DON'T GO OUR WAY! This is all i have to say But some staffers relly need to check themselves.

Making people cry and shed tears!!!?
I saw this woman at the front desk making women cry and shed tears without remorse or compassion for anyone. No respect to man, woman or position who come to them for what they are paying dollars for! Not FREE!NO,NO.
Have our consulate workers, who our TNT government sent here to do Consulate work professionally, have in their thoughts ego of power to snub their noses and make other citizens shed emotional sadness in a professional office? Come on Trinidad & Tobago ambassador to USA check those workers out. They embarrassing our sweet TNT.

Bad Service...never answer the phones.
This is the most uneducated and unprofessional place to visit…and I use the term visit…because people have no choice but to go there because we have no choice…not only the people that work there are highly paid unprofessional… unmannerly…unwilling…lazy…
Imaging these people are representing SWEET T&T …WHAT A SHAME!!!!! Yes what a dam shame!!!!! And as far as I know these people who come to work here is suppose to be the senior people from trinidad…and is this the way you guys treat you own people….come on SHAME on you guys. JUST FOR THE RECORD THIS WILL BE MY LAST TIME GOING TO THEIR OFFICE….I HAVE BEEN HOLDING OUT IN GETTING MY US CITZENSHIP BUT THANKS TO THE STAFF ACROSS IN NEW YORK…YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB OF COMPLETELY CHANGING MY MIND ON REMAINING A CITZEN OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

CLOSE DOWN THIS OFFICE
My family went there today for the fifth time to be REJECTED each time. We had all our original documents ready and yet the lady that was checking our files said there was a problem with a name change. Then she had NO HELPFUL INFORMATION to give us. She ENJOYED REJECTED PEOPLE ONE BY ONE, WHO SIMPLY NEEDED THEIR PASSPORT AND PATIENTLY WAITED 5 HOURS FOR THEIR TURN.

Before it was my turn, I've seen the lady behind the window always a major problem for everyone. People have been waiting since 9 AM till 3 PM to be told what else was missing and they were rejected.

One person drove four hours to the office and the employees were not helpful or responsive.

ALL TRINIDADIANS SHOULD STOP GOING TO THIS OFFICE AND/OR COMPLAIN. THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS OFFICE DO NOT DESERVE TO BE THERE. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS OFFICE TO BE OPEN IF THE EMPLOYEES ARE UNHELPFUL AND UNEDUCATED?
