It's a shame of what of our people have to go through to get a passport from the time you get on line it's a pain the receptionist is the best but the officers who check the forms need to be change they don't know how to talk to people so nasty I can believe it the black one on window 3 is so nasty when we was sitting on the chairs some other people was saying the same thing window 3 was nasty why do this time of job and you don't know how to deal with the public should stay home and let someone do a better job
It is a shame the way service is rendered to fellow Trinidadians at our Consulate in NY.Last August14th,3 members of my family were all charged about $15 to have our passports sent to our home via the mail.We waited for 2 months to have a response ,but never got one ,instead we had to walk in to pick them up without a refund or a reasonable explanation. In addition,a fine of$20 was also charged to conduct a search on a missing document for the renewal of my passport. When we went to pickup as aforementioned neither a report on the search nor refund were given .Oh how sad.I was left to ask is someone pocketing money under false pretense?
I HAVE APPLIED FOR MY NEW BIRTH-PAPER HERE IN NEW YORK AND THESE PEOPLE NEED TO STAY HOME AND OFFER THESE JOBS TO PEOPLE WHO REALLY WANT TO WORK. I have APPALLED since October 2013 for my birth paper I went in in January to collect it. Number one, the girl who took the application no longer work there, she properly dumped all the our applications and now my birth paper is missing. I was given a phone number to call the supervisor and her email address well i it's no longer available and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONES. THIS IS A SHAME TO BE REPRESENTING TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Does this company have any higher authority who looks at there progress THESE ARE VERY INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES WHO SUCKS SALARIES AND NO PROGRESS, WHAT A SHAME.
DOES ANYONE WORK AT THE EMBASSY?????I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 20 TIMES-SURPRISE!!!!! NO ANSWER.LEFT 2 MESSAGES-NO RESPONSE.WHEN YOU GO THERE IT'S LIKE THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR.SOME OF THEM SPEAK TO YOU THE WAY IN WHICH THEY CAN'T SPEAK TO THEIR CHILDREN.LAST YEAR I WENT TO GET AN EXTENSIONAND WAS WHY DO I WANT TO GO TO TRINIDAD.DO I NEED A REASON TO GO HOME?THESE PEOPLE ARE DOWNRIGHT RUDE!!
Everyone's right about this service, and it is SHAMEFUL!!! I also recently experienced the same service. No return phone calls or emails. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told that she would track my paperwork and would call back, this was 3 weeks ago. I left messages, and still waiting. I am definitely going to report this to whomever is in charge of this agency. Something's got to be done about this.
I have to say it was not so bad they were nice to me and helpful so i guess things are turning around,a good day i should say
Their attitude here is outrageous, disgusting and pooooooor, never ans the phone and its emergency number so tired of these ppl, what are they being paid for
Its like trying to pull your own teeth out, what are they getting paid to do, god forbid if they would answer the phone, they never return calls and emails. What a shame, the same reason I will never go back to Trinidad to live, shame on the Consulate of New York.
the service is very poor. No one answers the phone. I left a message, no one got back to me> I sent an E-mail and got no response. Was given an extension but got a message saying not available. I had to drive two hours to go to the consulate, nice person at the security gate but he's the one who gave me the ext# and did not know that it was not working. Drove back another day only to be told I did not have all the documents. Extremely frustrating. They should try harder to help their fellow countrymen.
