I called the embassy last friday to check the status of my GWP application I made in byo on the 1st of Dec and was advised that they have only started working on the October permits.
@Taps; If you would like to register with a risk prof board, please try Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) but please be warned that it is quite difficult to secure a CSV if you are not an actuary and applying in SA using this board. It appears DHA only understands risk assessors as actuaries and nothing else. I am not sure whats the situation with the embassy but just bear that in mind coz you might face challenges when you seek you CSV extension since the application will be handled by the pretoria folks.

Does anyone know who I can contact regarding appeals. Is it only 'Claudia ' ? I have been unsuccessful in getting a hold of her.

@ eddiebaks you don't need a letter from you employer for CSV. They will give you a year to go look for a job when you do find a job you apply again with the employer letter and you get an extension of 5 years.
I would like to apply for the risk and management board ehich falls under the commercial sector.my question is had anyone used that board first and got accepted or its now being rejected

Please assist if you opt to use the travelers' cheque instead what must be their minimum value for you to be able to apply for a CSV. Pleas assist.

I would like to find out if anyone who applied from the byo vfs has had any outcome yet. I applied for a relative's visa on the first of December and I haven't had any outcome
