Sir,
Before sending your application for CNF to the Greffier en cher in Paris and also beforegoing to file a suit in a court of law in France you must know how you are entitled to get CNF. Filing a suit is possible only through a French advocate practising in France. Advocate fees + bailiff (amin) fees may be 3000/euros, No guarantee of success will be given, I advise you to wait for the decision of the Registrar. In case of refusal of your application, reasons will be given, Then you will now what is your case, Yours sincerely,

Devaraj.
Sir,
Hindu is governed by Hindu law and muslim by mohamedan law. If they become renoncants, French law (code civil) is applicable to them. As per french Code civil, a wife is not an heiress of her busband. But she will be joint owner of the immovable properties of her husband acquired during married life, This legal regim is called communaute legale. It is one example, there are several others, All french laws are codified into one volume (Civil code) or code of Napoleon. Yours sincerely.
