Nadan,
You were born in Pondicherry in 1977. If you wish to get french nationality certificate, You will have to prove that either your father or mother was a french national at the time of your birth, Nationality matter ivolves points of law and rules. For a correct opinion, your papers should be verified by a french lawyer. Please not listen to the advice of laymen or municipal stsff. Yours sincerely

QUETION NO 1;

QUETION NO 2;
only with my grand mother and father tamilnadu certificates we can get our french nationality?
Sir
Death certificate is not allowed to prove the birth of a person, His D/c may not be insisted if B/c and M/c are available. Yours sincerely
sir,
Your father was an ex service man (ancien combattant).He returned to India in 1960. If he was born in Fr. India he should have opted to conserve french nationality during the period of 6 months from 16.8.1962. Otherwise he lost his french nationality and became Indian, If he received secours,it may be given on compassionate ground by the association by Ancien combattants and not by French Govt as pension. Yours sincerely,
Sir/Madam
Please study the effect of the Franco Indian treaty of cession, 1956 if you were born in Pondicherry prior to 16.08.1062. If born after, your father or
mother should be french nationals at the time of tour birth,
my past last three generations are born,married and died in pondicherry.
now we are fourth generations living in pondicherry itself , whether can apply for french nationality with only our generations records?
