Madam,
You were born in Pondicherry in 1929, For you, it does not matter whether your parents have opted or not, to conserve french nationly. As a major aged above 18 years, born in Pondicherry and domiciled either in Pondicherry or in Indian Union on 16.8.1962, you had to opt personally to conserve the french nationality,Otherwise you will lose the french nationality and become Indian on 16.8.1962. Yours sincerely,

Sir,
You were born in Pondicherry in the year 1958. So your scope for conserving the french nationality is limited with your father. If he was french citizen and an optant to conserve french nationality, you are eligible to claim for CNF. Yours sincerely

Shridar
sir,
According to your first information your father was born in chidambraram govt hospital. Upon this I said your father is eligible to claim CNF, Now you turn the table and say that your father's birth is registered in Pondicherry as born in Coonichampeth. If this place is in Fr. India. the situation changes and your father should have opted to conserve the french nationality, I advise you and also the public to deal with the nationality matter by giving correct information or you may contact in person a french lawyer with all relevant papers to get correct opinion. Yours sincerely,
sridhar
