REPORTS TO: Department Manager

Position requires thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and Eichleay standards.

Typical Duties:

Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:

• Civil/Structural engineering calculations.

• Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, and layout.

• Civil/Structural project specifications.

• Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals.

• Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.

• Layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.

• Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.

• Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer.

• Review shop drawings.

• Assume the lead engineer’s role on assigned projects.

• May serve as Project Engineer and as a designated Client contact on smaller, less complex projects.

• Develop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.

• May direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities.

• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.

• Handle routine contract administration.

• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.

• Attend and participate in Client and Eichleay meetings.

• Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.

• Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents.

• Capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and over one years of experience with advance knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or

• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and over one years of experience with advanced technical knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or

• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:

• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.

• Licensed SE, PE or EIT is preferred.

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

• Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.

Salary:

Contract period:

This is a fixed term contract for up to twelve months.

Payment of salary:

Payment is made by the 23rd day of the month to a nominated bank or building society account.

Probationary period:

If you have not been employed by the Associated Board in a similar capacity previously, your employment shall be subject to a probationary period of three months. The completion of your probationary period will, however, be subject to a formal review and you will not have completed your probationary period until that review has taken place.

Termination of employment:
This is a fixed term contract for a period of up to twelve months. The contract will automatically terminate on the completion of the current jobholder’s maternity leave. The period of notice to terminate the appointment (other than by completion) will be three calendar months by either party (one week during the probationary period).

Pension provision:

The Associated Board operates an Occupational Pension Scheme, whereby the employee and employer pay contributions to the scheme based on the employee’s pensionable salary. Unless otherwise stated in your letter of appointment, membership begins on attaining 18 years of age, subject to completion of a satisfactory probationary period.

Interest free season ticket loan:

Interest free season tickets loans are available on request after three months’ service.

Annual Leave:

The annual leave entitlement is 25 days plus all statutory bank holidays. In addition, the Board normally has a winter closure between the 27 and 31 December each year.

Appointment:

This decision can be influenced by the findings of the Company's
Medical experts, unless the expatriate in question states otherwise. After three (3) months of service all expatriates will be entitled to
a Health Service Insurance Plan (HSIP) for family. The Health Service Insurance Plan is designed to cover only three (3) members of your family.
The Health Service Insurance Plan (HSIP) allowance can also be paid to the expatriates at the rate of 500.00US$ per family member per month (1000.00US$ per month) which can be transferred on monthly basis without being subjected to tax.
7.0: FEEDING AND ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation and feeding shall be provided for all expatriates by Company, Quality single or family housing
Accommodation in company community, Maximum security in work Environment and housing community, all cuisine
(Intercontinental/Continental) will also be provided.
7.1: TRANSPORTATION:
An official vehicle shall be provided on 24 hour daily basis to all expatriate for local transportation.
A round trip flight ticket to cover your contract
Engagement will be provided and delivered to you on the completion of your relevant travel documents and Immigration particulars.
7.2: ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
Recreational/Sports Facilities shall also be made available at the
Disposal of all expatriates with no expenses to be incurred. Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service will also be made available to all expatriates by the company laundry and dry cleaning unit.
8.0: TELECOMMUNICATION/INTERNET FACILITIES:
There are standard telecommunication facilities and internet services

Respected Sir, I got some email from your embassy for processing my Canada employment visa, for that I need to pay Indian rupee25,100/- for stamping process and all is that true ? I will forward you all the emails I got from them. When I asked about their office they told me that we need to pay money before and once they done with process they will invite to your embassy. Please advise us that it is true or fake and they mentioned one bank account for transfer to amount , please see the below bank details and cell phone number.
