I just want to warn people not to make the same mistake as I did 2 weeks ago. I saw this (AFRA CONSTRUCTION apply for jobs) while I was searching for the right job for me. I went to the website and send my cv on line to the email on the website. The same day they asked me to fill in the application they have send me and email it back to them with my cv to the HR MANAGER ANDREA MBALLE. 2 days after that they sent me this email back Dear Mr. Maarten Jacobus Viljoen
We are pleased to inform you that we have prepared a place for you in our organization following your CV. We have prepared your contract of employment letter, your position in our organization will be guaranteed as soon as you signed the contract of employment letter. Attached below are the scan copies of the contract of employment letters.
We advise you to read carefully the contract forms before signing it as they contain the rules and regulations that are governing our organization. Your position will be guaranteed in our organization as soon as you sign the last page of the contract form and send a scan copy to us through email. Get back to us with the signed contract of employment form and send the scan copies of the following documents.
*Proof of accommodation. You just need to book your apartment and forward the receipt to us so we can use it to obtain your certificate of residence in Cameroon.
*Signed contract of employment letter.
As soon as we receive the above document, we will go ahead with the processing of your work permit and visa. Your flight ticket will be sent to you as soon as we obtain your visa and work permit. After this they asked me to pay $1100(R13000.00) for apartment rental because they need the proof at immigration to release my worksvisa/permit. This is the info they sent me

Then they told me to pay $650(R7700) for Resident visa because the people at immigration need that to release my worksvisa/permit. At that stage every email and everything seemed legit to me I have checked everywhere to see if this was a scam and I could not find anything. I went to pay that as well. Then the same afternoont hey asked me for another $480 for some insurance that they only pay 96% and I must pay 4%. I said to them like on previous occasions as well I need proof of everything I am not going to pay anymore. They sent me a card that looked like a employer personal card and a paper that looked like a booking for ticket but there was no flight number on or confirmation number or anything. I told them they are a scam and they just keep phoning for the rest of the money and saying it was not a scam. Then I emailed the person for my money back at the hotel and he sent me this email back

After this I said them whatever makes you happy deduct the money from the money you owe me and pay the difference in but he keeps on saying I must pay the R1740. And he will pay the full $1100 to me. I can't believe this This is a very well organised scam.

I jst wanted to make sure that this company is not a fraut as I am requested to pay for a month accomodation in Victoria guest house in Cameroon and send a proof and signed contract that they emailed me
i want to check it they want me to pay for accommodation and flight to cameroon. it sounds a little dodgy the companies name arab contractors it might be ligit but people also use companies names and logos these days to con people. i just have bad feeling about this.
I am a Cameroonian national in South Africa for studies. I overheard an info, which I am not quite sure and clear about. I thus would like to know if anything have been raised up concerning the repatriation guarantee deposited at the embassy which is to be collected when back from foreign country. Thanks
it was a quite unfortunate experience, i was denied a visa simply with a statement like this "Idon't want to give you this visa, you must not go , must you?" made by the South African lady, it was painful but....

3) Proof of address, this can be a scan copy of any utility bill.

practitioner.
5} Index page of your passport.
6) Signed letter of employment offer.
7) Proof of accommodation for the probation period. This should be your hotel reservation receipt. (Not submitted).
Your file has been forwarded to the labour department for the processing of your work permit and visa. This may take three to five business days to obtain your work permit and visa. We need the name of the airport where you will be departing from to make reservation for your flight ticket.

You just need a yellow fever vaccines at the time of departure from your airport. You will be issued a yellow card after receiving the yellow fever vaccine. We can only arrange for you to depart from Cape town international airport or OR Tambo international airport from Johannesburg. You will have to choose from any of the above airports. you can also advice me on this email address pelembutho@ymail.com
