Pathetic Service
We’ve applied for renewal of our granddaughter's Passport on the 07th April 2015 at the South African Embassy in Windhoek and her parents assisted her.
However, an unforeseen incident happened and we had to travel to Kimberley South Africa earlier this month.
We’ve decided that while we are there, to apply for our new ID cards the same time. Our grand child was with us and applied for her ID card as well. While applying for the ID cards, we’ve asked the official whether her detail for the renewal of her Passport, shows on their system.
To our disappointment, there was still no info on their system at all. The official there recommended that we do some enquiries at the South African Embassy in Windhoek to clarify the issue, or to report the matter to the High Commissioner. Seeing in the light that they use the same administration system, it should have shown on their system as well.
We’ve made +/- 70 calls in 2 x weeks time to come through to your office, just to be referred to another official without any help and to hear the line to be hanged up in our ears.
These insensitive and robust types of treatment which we received from your unhelpful officials, answering the lines, are unacceptable.
We are reluctant to accept this as a settled matter.
What will happen when her current Passport expires before her renewal arrives. The Namibian authorities will surely through her out of the country.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO GET SOME ASSISTANCE IN THIS REGARD?
