Visitation Visa
My wife of 12 years is a US Citizen who is suffering from Cancer. Her sister and father live in Colombia and I would like them to come visit to assit with the care of my wife. My sister-in-law was just denied a visitation visa today. The reason was explained that she filled out the wrong application, the visitation application was the wrong one to fill out. I cannot afford more application fees to be denied so easy. I'm trying to keep my job, my insurance and my spouses life. I'm running out of time and options...please help.

visa for wife
Hello, I am a U.S. Citizen, Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Commander. I have been living in Colombia for 10 years and have been living with my wife for 7 years and married to her for 3 years. We have no intentions of living in the U.S. and she has previously applied for a u.s. tourist visa twice and both times has been disapproved.
Since we dont want to reside in the U.S., what kind of visa should I apply for her. She is not my fiancee, she has been my wife and we need to travel together to the U.S. as my children reside there.
I don´t want her to apply on her own again, but if I apply for her, I would have to apply for a resident visa for her and then turn around and chage it to tourist. Is there any way that I can apply for a tourist visa for her but coming from an application made by me? Or does she have to apply again on her own and run the risk of being disapproved.

Please help, because I am getting tired of traveling by myself. I am her sole provider of income and maybe this is why everytime she has applied on her own, the consular services at the bogota embassy has turned her down because she has no job here, which she does not need because I support her.

Please advise at to which course of action I must take. Thank you.

It is what it is "Right Guys?"
My wife is from Colombia and we have been married for 6 years; seams like 1 year. My wife and her sister’s twin sons served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. {In South America} I have visited Colombia and the people are so kind to each other I found it refreshing; I served in the US. Navy my father retired from the US. Navy! I have traveled around the world and found a place I want to spend the last years of my life, it is in Colombia, there is a big rock with 700 steps to the top and water all around. I was afraid my daughter was going to die; the doctors in America would not help her because of money, so I sent her to Colombia with my wife were she was met by her brother a Colombian doctor from the US. My daughter was saved! Thank you every Colombian!!!
Now today my wife’s sister was denied passage to the states. And was told it was because one Email that was sent 4 years ago by my wife: The embassy workers put there life on the line working in other country’s around the world and have my support in the decisions they make; some times there explanation could leave a little to be desired, but the blame was put on my wife and of Course it made her cry after all she lost 4 members in her family in the last 4 years and now is made to feel she is to blame for the decision of the Embassy official. Bad Form… I have a business partner in Argentina and when he went back to see his sick dad the Embassy would not let him return I am currently working on something we can do together while he is down there… It is hard to find people you can trust now days… Wesleysisco@hotmail.com

Notarized Invitation Letter?
Hello I was wondering if the invitation letter that I am preparing for my cousin needs to be notarized?

Thank you,
Cynthia
