Hi mark.
I thought if you were on the 457 visa and your employer lets you go you can still remain on the same visa as you didn't choose to leave them. Can you not look for another job? Sorry to hear about your bad situation. All the best.....

The flying of the union jack flag
Could someone please educate the British public on the correct way to fly the union jack. I have seen it flown upside down on many occasions, including at the London Olympics and the Tour de France
ps. I tried to send this message direct to the Prime Ministers office in London but the system would not accept my Western Australian post code.

Consular Advice
This is not the official British Consulate Perth website, and neither do the staff monitor this website. The address shown above is also wrong, we are located at Level 12, 251 Adelaide Terrace, Perth. If you require consular assistance please phone (08) 9224 4700 and select option 0 to speak to a member of staff. If we are busy and cannot take the call at the time you call, you will be prompted to leave a message on voicemail and we will call you back when we have a member of staff available to do so. You can also address your enquiry via our Facebook link to ukinaustralia/British High Commission Canberra.
Please note we cannot answer UK visa questions, and for passport enquiries (other than emergency passports) we will refer you to our website: https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports. This link will give you all the information you need to renew your passport, and where you can print off the correct forms free of charge.

I have for the past few years worked and lived in Cairo Egypt with my Egyptian husband and family.

Renewal of passport
Hi, I have tried ringing your perth office to beagle to talk to someone in person, all I get is ring this no or contact this web. All I want to know is my sister has to renew her British passport, has filled out all the paper work, photos ect but iis unable to lodge them due to her having only a blue British passport and the post office won't accept it. So what does she now have to do tobe able to get a renewal.

made redundent
Hi,I moved here 5months ago with my polish wife who is 30wks pregnant and our 16yr old daughter on a 457 and a lot of broken promises to work for a electricity contracting company, after 6weeks they said I was not qualified after being in this industry for 24yrs and they made a mistake in offering me this job and wanted to send us home, they agreed to pay for our flights, container and any out of pocket expenses I told them that we cant go back as we have nothing and will go back to nothing, we invested all our money to get here. They agreed to 3months training, another broken promise as last week they made me redundant and will now only pay for our flights?? I have no money no job and stuck here until our baby is safe to fly 1st December. we are depressed and feel isolated as this company seems to do as little as possible to understand our situation. PLEASE HELP
