Comments on this Consulate-General
I have held a British Passport for 40 years but I have never had a certificate of citizenship. I have applied to the National Archives UK but they have no record of this document. I have contacted HMPO and received no reply.
Please tell me how I can obtain this document.
Yours sincerely
RD Chapman

Dear Consulate-General,
I am a third generation Australian, with at least 2 of my great grandparents having been born in the UK.I was at one stage married to an Englishwoman whom I later divorced after returning to Australia following living and working in the UK for 2 years. I am now a widower with a 13 year old daughter from my second marriage,am financially secure and am considering retiring shortly. Is there any possibility of my being able to return to live in the UK permanently, and if so,what would I need to to make the change a reality?
Many thanks, David
I was born in Northern Ireland in 1943 and arrived in Australia in November 1954 as an assisted migrant along with my Father, Mother and three siblings. I have not been overseas since arriving here, but plan to travel next year.
I have never held a passport but I do have a copy of a "Document Of Identity" which was issued to my father to cover
the whole family in lieu of passports.
Would you please advise what documentation I would need to supply to obtain a current British Passport. Looking forward to your advice
I was born in England and emigrated to Australia. I registered my son as a British Citizen before he turned 18 (I hold the certificate which was issued in 1995). He was actually born in Vancouver, Canada in 1977 where I was working at the time but now lives in Australia and holds an Australian passport. He is wishing to Apply for a UK passport but has been told by UK Passport Office that due to me being his mother and not his father, he is not entitled. Can someone clarify please. Thank you
