Visit against 2 tear visa--lost the passport
Dear Sir,

I am from India and hold Indian Passport no. H 3788183 .

I am in Germany as on date and has a plan to visit UK from 21st Feb. to 25th Feb 2015.

I got 2 years business visa on my passport in Feb.2015.
Gave an interview on 7th Jan and got the visa in hand on 10th Jan. 2015

My tickets are from Frankfurt to Birmingham on 21st Feb. 2015 and return flight on 25th feb.2015-London to Delhi.

Unfortunately, i lost my passport in Germany today and have reported in FIR to KOLN police.

My worry is that i have business appointments in Birmingham at BETA fair from 22nd to 24th Feb.2015.

I am visiting Indian Embassy in Frankfurt on coming Monday with FIR to issue a temporary passport to me.

Now, my request / query is that can i continue my visit to UK. If yes, please let me know, how to proceed.

Waiting for your kind reply at your earliest.

Best regards,

Rajesh Tandon.

Is a holder of a German unlimited redidence permit allowed to work in the UK?
I have the abovementioned document and would like to ask if the holder of the ID-1 is allowed to work short termed in the UK? There is a job there which i am very interested in and it requures me to commit myself for 6 weeks yearly.

Please advise.

Thank you very much.

TRANSIT VISA !
Dear Colleagues,

Allow me to address this Email to you, with hope that I will receive soon your reply!

My name is Gertruda Dyla, I am medical doctor-Cardiologist by profession, Kosovo Albanian, but since 2011 I am working regularly in Germany in Cardiology Clinics.

I have Kosovo Passport, and I also have since April 2014, the unlimitted permition to stay in Germany (Unbefristete Niderlassungserlaubnis für Deutschland).

I am planning to attend a conference for Cardiology in China, Hong Kong, at the end of January 2015, presicely from January 30, 2015 until February 1, 2015.

I am in contact regarding Visa for China-Hong Kong, but I would like to know, do I need to have Transit Visa for UK?

For Your Information:
- I have booked a plain ticket from Frankfurt to Hong Kong, with one stop in London (shorter then 24 hours), so I will leave within 24 hours.
- I will work to get Visa for China.
- Normally, I will arrive and depart from London by air.

Based on your Website, I found this Information (please see below), so I would appreciate very much to have your answer regarding my question:

DO I NEED TRANSIT VISA FOR UK, OR I AM ELIGIBLE FOR THE TRANSIT WITHOUT VISA CONCESSION??

I thank you in advance and I am looking forward to your reply!

With respect,

Dr.Gertruda Dyla M.D. Mr.Sci.
Internist-Cardiologist

Transiting without a visa

You might be eligible for the ‘transit without visa concession’ if:
•you arrive and depart by air
•have a confirmed onward flight which leaves within 24 hours
•have the right documents for your destination (eg a visa for that Country)

Having just phoned the number it doesn't work anymore.
If you phone number you find out as I did that the number doesn't work, and the link below it list only the embassy ion Berlin and consulates in Dusseldorf and Munich as being valid. There is no consulate in Frankfurt.

This is the wrong website for these questions
To everyone asking these questions, you do realise that this is just a web directory for emabassies, and not the consulates web page, right? If you want answers use the phone number given.
