Customer care at the SA embassy
This embassy seems to be the worst in Uganda. First of all, every information is obtained from the police guards. Secondly you can not even communicate to the people concerned. Imagine in may one had to be as early as 5.00am to secure an appointment. Please the concerned try to read because we believe the South Africa is one of the leading countries in Africa that should portray the best of the services. Thank you

Treatment of applicants.
I am disappointed by the way the staff at the southafrican embassy treat applicants. To begin with the police officer at the entrance orders you around instead of talking to you,the security guards talk to applicants in a disciplinary manner than the police, and they are more concerned with answering their phones than attending to you in case of any inquiries,
and do not get me started on the staff receiving applications, they are the most unproffesional staff i have never met at any visa consulate, please try to be polite whilst attending to applicants because we are there for one another, working at a foreign mission is not the end of the world.

Visa Submission
Its a pity that you guys feel that way, but one thing iam sure of, is that once you submit correct papers you get a visa there and then but we should also not forget the habit of ugandans and lies!!!! imagine one submits a bank statement with the required amount but by close of business when the consular have to verify, all monies are withdrawn, its as if you just used someone else's account. Secondly just like any other countries SAHC is following their polies, just like the USA and so one. No one would like to ferry fakes in their country. Thirdly we ugandans need to be honest how do you bring in fake dollars and expect them to be received!!!! There could be some snags but it cannot be as bad compared to UK! LETS FACE THE TRUTH. I have always travelled to SA and I dont have a problem with visa. Ugandans you should also stop ashaming us by what you when you get visa to go to SA, like playing witch craft , I think this is the reason SA Government came up with tougher polies.

Why do you really need a SA when your destination is Lesotho.from Uganda
I am baffled at the way the south african embassy treats ugandas who want to travel to lesotho.you need a visa even if you are actully dont have any business in this country but just transiting.why do you make things so difficult.some time they even deny you that stupid visa even when you ultimate destination is Lesotho.have a change.guyz.you suck

inneficiency at the south african embassy in uganda
Its really sad that the South African embassy is one of the worst and inefficient diplomatic offices in uganda.

I am a South African who was at the Embassy last week and saw first hand the complaints that are messioned above by people.

As a tax payer in South African I feel that this embassy is miss representing the mission and goals that the ANC stands for and believe that something has to be done to improve service dilivery.

SA Embassy is run like someone's Private Home
There is nothing as disgusting as a full diplomatic mission to be run like someone's private home where one can decide for example, to buy milk instead of fish. Can you imagine, the Visa personel, after giving visa applicants an appointment to pick their passports on April 21, 2011 between 2:00-2:30 pm decides later that "I should close at 11:00 a.m. instead. He/she actually do so without calling the concerned applicants who turn up at the appointed date and time only to be shown a notice by the security guards. Since when have security guards turned into public relations officers. Can you imagine, it is clearly indicated on the application forms that every applicant must indicate their telephone numbers? Can you imagine that this office will not be opened till Tuesday? SA Staff, it is only two hundred Ugs out of more than one hundred thousand Ugs that one pays for the visa, for you to call. It is simply an ethical thing to do.

Would some hear our cry otherwise, we do not need such representation we may think that is the best that South Africa can offer. Please shape up
