VISA
police at the entrance treat visa applicants as if they are criminals in the police station. There is corruption at that gate, especially when the queue is long.It should not be a punishment to apply for the visa.

Our police officers here are very corrupt
Dear my fellow ugandans, S.African H. C. Policies are very fare compared to those of USA, but our fellow ugandans who where ranked to be most corrupt in the country, are the ones who makes everything difficult @ the H.C, imagine a police officer to ask you for money to get access to the premiss.

Shame upon you police, be carefull b'se you will end up even loosing the litle 200,000 salary you earn. Afande kale should monitor his corrupt officers.

Hope it will be changed.

Visas
It is interesting to read the comments here. I am sure some people think that the policies that the High Commission are their own. Sorry guys are policies follow a procedure before it is legislated. If our government decide that you need a transit visa when going to neighbouring SADC countries, it is not the staff at the High Commission but the government through our parliament.

South African Visas
From what i have read, it seems that this embassy has a problem. Why should security people be the go between? Why should the client deal with security instead of the trained personnel. You should employ people to handle such issues if you feel the turn of Ugandans is big. I hope you can work towards changing these facts mentioned. We look forward to better services.
