Just to update everyone, I applied on the 21st of December and got an email yesterday from VFS Bulawayo.Going to collect on Monday.

Hi guys I applied for my CSV on the 6th of December 2016 at VFS Harare, can anyone please who applied for the same category visa on the sa day or after me tell if they managed to collect theirs.
When I sent VFS and e-mail they said those who applied in December r still under process
@Peace no i ddnt manage the email came in late around 4pm would have to go the on monday..

Its a good thing that VFS send you an email telling you that passport is ready.Its much organized than the process directly at the embassy

@ 4dee i saw that on the latest DHA 1738 form that you mentioned yesterday it reads on page one : Biometric (attach fingerprint form with photograph)

Hi guys, if you haven't received an sms/call from the SA embassy regarding your permit being out, is it advisable to book for collection? (I applied for a general work permit in mid November and have not received a response, they said check in 2 weeks on 5 occasions and I am not based in Harare)

Please enlighten me on this fingerprint system.Is it part of the application requirements.
I recall some time the VFS in SA was in the process of implementing a new biometric system whereby it was not necessary to submit a police clearnce.Instead ,the visa applicant undergoes a biometric scan at the VFS offices,which will then link up with the SA Police fingerprint database.
Are you saying they are implementing an almost similar system??
