August CSV Application
I just got the mail saying passport ready for collection

i don't know if this is because i've been placing lots of pressure on DHA or if its the start of the floodgates for CSV applications but there is hope yet good people!

You know most of us Zimbabweans really try to be law abiding but it appears these guys would rather we got into South Africa illegally! One gets frustrated from the day of submitting the application itself? What is the point of VFS saying that one's Bank statement must be within 7 days from the time you got it from the bank when they are going to be with the application for more than 6 months? Even if i had tonnes of cash in my account would I still be keeping it waiting to use it in RSA?

Crime against Humanity
@Nandi, I can hear you and I am in the same situation. I am here in SA with little kids my wife is locked away in ZIM! Tried to get the passport back a couple of times but no response! ZIP! They just do not care! What is the difference with that situation where people's passport are taken and are used as slaves in the Arab world? Same Same. Our Government (Zim) is busy with power(politics) issues they do not care about their Citizens who are being molested right under their nose! It is a pity! Your Citizens are treated like slaves while you dine and wine with those SA Embassy staff during the weekend. During budget speech, the government talks about money coming from the Diaspora! BUT are they aware of how the people in the diaspora are treated. Keeping someone's passport for more than 5 months is a crime against humanity. Worse still refuse to hand it back!

Thank you you for the update guys
@Fadzi and Anthony thank you for the updates! Im am rather perplexed with the study visa story though. If one doesnt have their study visa by this time and they are stuck in Zim then it means they have missed half the semester if its varsity and almost the whole term if it is school!

Spouse visa
This is really not fair guys.....some of us we have kids in the republic. How do they think a 2year old will survive without the mother for over 6months. We just need our passports back if they cant give us permits bcz now our lives are on hold. If we wer South Africans we would have already demonstrated to the embassy but surely they taking advantage of us.
