So they put institution in their own head or you submitted 2 letters, that is a serious mistake, because how do you end up writting say UP when student applied using Wits papers

A friend of mine once got a call from VFS informing her that her passport was back and ready for collection. On arrival at VFS she was told that they had made a mistake, her passport was still at the embassy! I feel sorry for you but just know that it could be worse!

I have never been this frustrated in my life, I went to collect my study visa today. Had applied on the 1st of Feb and there is an error, issued for the wrong institution. They have to return it now. It might 2 weeks or longer they say. Like why is Embassy like this though, a whole institution and they sent it back without checking.

To those waiting for responses for spousal or relative visa surely you cannot be away from your families for 6 months. The delays are only encouraging illegal immigrants. I wouldn't wait 6 months sorry.

Hold fast, eventually it will be ok
I know guys if we say it will be ok, its hard for you to hear anything. You guys will be ok, when I was submitting last year I met a woman who was coming to check, she cried telling me her story, she had a small baby the pamper was leaking and she was like I am no broke I know longer have money, I have been waiting for months. It was painfully to hear but in our despair lets me encouraged that many of us have gone through the suffering. No one is alone, This forum kept me going thus why we still coming here to contribute because we know what you guys are going through.

Our government reduced us to beggars and hence its difficult to fight SA embassy when our own government wont even give you a normal passport on stipulated time. Hold on guys

@Fikile - i think thats a great idea, and also complain to VFS to overwhelm them that they actually get motivated to push the embassy

Who did you email, im thinking if everyone with a visa outstanding for more than 3months were to email them, they might start giving attention to visa processing at the Embassy.
