If there is not a single diversion in the names of his parents in his birth and passport, it should go to the first team. But I still can't confirm that because it depends whether they decide he's likely to be a fraud case or not.
You agent can personally go to the CRC and ask this information, but he's partly correct because the case won't go faster, even by knowing which team it's gone to.
So all you can do is wait.

I can only tell of Bombay cases second generation Sept/Oct 2016 cases are on going, as there are 2 teams dealing with simple and complicated cases, so just pray and hope yours gets done in 10 months time....

As of present time frame for Bombay documents its 10 months flat, only if its passed 10 months and above then you can start trying to get some updates no point getting updates before that from you agent/CRC!~

Which team have my documents gone to?
Hi Shayne/Denzil, could you tell me which team my documents have MOST LIKELY gone to. My father in laws registration as done last year and took 8 months flat. the marriage registration took about two weeks. Now my husbands documents have been submitted directly in portugal. He was born in Bombay before 1961 but we have made his birth verifiable online via BMC and all documents are matching and in order.

I cannot ask my agent because he has told me not to contact him till 8 months are over because he is "sick of my constant bs mails".

Thank you.

If you have your your great grandparents documents then you can send it directly to the CRC as long as you have the file number!
Yes they do ask for great grandparents birth/marriage records to tackle fraud.
