I have no idea about the second team. Someone here had said they're on June 2016, but I can't confirm that.
Your case (1991 birth) will most probably go to the fast team since they're almost no chance of your documents being fraud as you've had to do 2 generation cases before you and provided your birth is verifiable online.
Regarding Brexit, there's recently been news of a transitional deal with free movement until 2022.
Your birth should be done by 2020 in the worst case scenario. Provided this transitional deal holds up, you should easily make it there.

Hi Denzil, you said that they have most of our cases will probably be with the second team so do you have any idea which month the second team is on?

Also we submitted my fathers papers in the first week of April. This is the second process (grandpas done), birth before 1961 in Bombay. After his we will get the marriage registration done and then begin my process (birth 1991 in Bombay). Knowing all this do you think I will be able to get my portuguese passport before brexit/March 2019? Very nervous as I have to plan my future accordingly. Thanks.

First of all you have already inquired with your agent then you still come here and try to re confirm I give you the detials but it doesn't match what your agent has told you that doenst mean my info is Guess work, my info comes directly from the CRC. First understand how the system works then assume things people are very good at assuming things they dont know anything about. You have not contributed anything to this forum so dont make irrelevant statements I done owe you anything!

Email the CRC at registos.centrais@irn.mj.pt or call +351211950500 and tell them your process number. They should confirm it. They take a very long time to reply to emails. You should know a little Portuguese if you call them.

Why are you on her case ? She's providing information free of cost, it isn't her duty to help people.

They've started Nov 16. That is the first team which handles easy cases. It doesn't mean your case will automatically go in the fast department if you're born in Mumbai. It depends on what they think when they first see your file submitted by your agent (whether you're likely to be a fraud case or not). That's totally depends on their judgement. Contact your agent and ask him if it's gone to the first team or second team. Then you'll know what to expect. If it's gone to the second team it'll take 12-15 months or more as of today.
The only people 100% guaranteed to go to the first team are minors. Then come ethnic Portuguese born in countries like the US, with less instance of fraud. They generally put Goans in the second long process due to high fraud levels.

So confirm with your agent which process your case is in. Also take your process number from him.
