passport photos stamped
Green form says 2 of 4 photos must be stamped but web site seeems to suggest they do not need to be stamped, just signed if you are RENEWING your Irish passport. Am I reading this correctly?

PASSPORT RENEWAL FOR MY CHILDREN
I originally sent renewal forms for my two children in December and they were returned in January as they did not recognise a nun as a witness. I have just resent them in and it was received at the embassy yesterday, Wednesday March 20. I have booked tickets to go to Ireland on May 3, I realise that this was pushing it but got a really good deal. I just want to know if its enough time. Thank you

Pathetic process
I received the most pathetic passport package from the Ottawa Embassy. It contains an application form from the 1980's, which has been updated by marker strikes and hand-written updates, along with 4 page inserts amending the information contained in the application. Clarifying anything with the Embassy itself is futile because they don't return calls.
The whole process just oozes Irish government standards and best practices.
Not stoked!

really?
I sent for my passport to be renewed in early October. I just got the application back!.. You need my longform birth cert as well as both my parents long form birth certs! Oh and don't forget there marriage cert! Oh ya and my drivers license, the actual license a copy just won't do! Really?... Anyway is there a way to speed this process up? Can I pay extra to not have to wait another 12 weeks? Not trying to be a jerk this just sucks is all.
