I too have tried on numerous occasions to call the Embassy with woeful results, this is a disgrace and embarassment.

Letter to embassy - no response !
I wrote to the embassy on 25th October 2017 regarding the condition of the really fine Famine Memorial in Ireland Park, Toronto. As of today, the 10th January 2018,I have not even got an acknowledgement of receipt of my letter. My experience seems to be in line with much of the above comments.

Sorry Denise
Keep trying to call them, we've been calling during those short time windows for a few weeks, almost every day. It picks up, says the lines are busy and hangs up right away.

We only sent one message though.

They received our passport request on Friday September 1st and charged my credit card on Tuesday the 5th(The Embassy was closed on Sept 4th). So they were pretty quick to take our money.

We were expecting 4-6 weeks waiting time, like mentionned on their web site.
It'll be 12 weeks Friday and the Tracking Number isn't even active yet, so Dublin hasn't even received the request.

Waiting for the Irish passport is one thing, it's the fact we had to send in our child's valid Canadian passport, which we needed a few weeks ago but had to cancel our trip out of the country.

I'm tempted to drive to the Embassy and seek answers that way.

Waiting for passport
The Web site says there's a 4-6 weeks wait time for passports but I've been waiting for 10 weeks for first-time application for my newborn son.
On the 6th week I sent them a message, without a response after 4 weeks.
We had to cancel our trip to Boston because the Irish Embassy in Ottawa is holding our son's Canadian passport hostage.

Totally incompetent
Worst passport service ever. Everyone should complain directly to the Irish Minister for Dispora. They left my application sitting on a desk for 3 months. No passport tracker on website...looked at Australian website and they have one... it took me 6 months to get it!!

Have also sent numerous emails. If there was a problem they have all my original documents and need them back to apply again. Can anyone help with getting in touch with embassy?
