Horrified
How can anyone believe that killing another human being is justifiable let alone imprison them for ten years then draw out the date for the killings for months. As well as the ridiculous show of military strength (Or is it a veiled threat to Australia) to transport two defenseless young men to a remote island for the killings.Sadly I believe it is time for Australia to reconsider our friendly ties with our northern neighbor. We helped train their Military how dangerous for Australia is this now. It is time Indonesia stood on its own two feet as it were and looked after its own citizens. Australia is and has sent millions of dollars in aid. When there are hundreds of extremely wealthy Indonesian families. It is time they reached into their pockets and helped their fellow countrymen move out of poverty. When Australia experiences disasters such as devastating bush fires floods and damaging Cyclones does Indonesia offer any help financial or otherwise? If not why not? Australia has citizens living on the poverty line but still amazingly offers help to Nations who on the surface appear less fortunate than Australia.I trust the Indonesian Presidents God and the Attorney Generals God extends to both of them the same forgiveness they have shown to these two Reformed Young Men. The death penalty has NO place in our society today. A sad sad day.

Andrew and Myuran
Killing these boy's, is a horrible idea. For Aus, for Indonesia, for them. People are really only now feeling completely safe in Bali bombings, (half of those involved Indonesia didn't kill) so how do you think Bali will be effected if you do this in your tourism sector?
These men have been rehabilitated, is this not what prison is for. Have mercy Indonesia! Because EVERY SAINT HAS A PAST, AND EVERY SINNER HAS A FUTURE!

Support
Dear Sir,
Heroin has destroyed many lives all over the world. Families like mine know the misery that these two were prepared to ignore so that they might get rich quick. I hope that the Indonesian people will send the strongest possible signal to anyone that may think they can get money by dealing death to our children.
Sincerely
Peter and Bonnie Neville

Why not forgiveness?
Our religion teaches love and compassion and forgiveness. One of the commandments in the Bible is "thou shalt not kill" and I believe and live by this. I trust the Indonesian President's God will extend to him the same forgiveness that he has given to these 2 young men, who do not deserve to die for their crime. The death sentence is wrong, morally wrong.

No more Aid
That $605.3 million Australia is giving to Indonesia this financial year is obscene. It should STOP IMMEDIATELY. Indonesia needs no further considerations by the Australian people. Let us get some sanity in this country. Here we are, supposedly broke, a lot of our own people are living close to the poverty line, many are unemployed, and pensioners are battling to keep their household's running with increasing costs, and we give $605.3 million to a country that continues to treat us with contempt!! Today Indonesia showed just how ridiculous they are, with such a massive display of equipment and men, just to escort these two poor men. Absolutely disgusting. I think our Treasurer should immediately announce that he has just "saved " our country millions of dollars. We certainly haven't received any goodwill in return from Indonesia for all the assistance we have given.

Shame
This is too the government of your country and all associated with it, the relationship between our countries has always been of mutual respect but the recent avents in Bali and the years of racial hatetred and oppression against the West Papuans has led me as a father, brother friend to stand up for the vile and barbaric acts your country is and are forcing on the lives of these "Human Beings".
You have heard the plees from our government and families, well now here it from the people of our nation, Stop the murder of these prisoners who have changed their lives!! And get the hell out of West Papua because it's not going to stop when the last bullet exits their hearts or when the last tribesman is slaughtered...shame! Shame! SHAME!!

Release at least one
I understand that when someone commits a crime in a foreign country then they should respect those countries laws. It is probable that both Andrew and Myuran will be put to death. The same message will be sent if just one gets the firing squad and the impact that this has had on the other person will cause them to work against drugs and advise young people against doing something like they have done. This would be an act of mercy whilst still maintaining a strong stand against drugs.

Indonesia takes all and gives nothing in return
Forget the more than one billion dollars Australia donated to the tsunami disaster. That pales into insignificance to our ongoing committment to Indonesia and it's people.

Last year we donated 581 million to Indonesia's welfare, through financial and logistical assistance in the areas of Economic and Democratic Governance; Education; Health, Infrastructure; Social Develo-ment; Rural Development; and Disaster Risk Reduction.

If you doubt Australia's commitment to Indonesia take a look on tje Australia Government's website...

http://dfat.gov.au/geo/indonesia/development-assistance/pages/development-assistance-in-indonesia.aspx

This financial year Australia are committing another 605.3 million dollars.

It seems Indonesia have no qualms about taking everything Australia has to offer, and yet, when asked for something, not as quid pro quo, but out of simple human decency they are sadly lacking.

It is no good arguing that the ordinary indonesian has no part in this appaling lack of compassion. The indonesian people have the government they voted for. They new the entrenched belied of their President, Jodo Widodo, and still voted for him.

It is time Australians stood as a nation, and said, Enough is Enough, No more will we support their people, their government, and their corrupt system where a bribe given to the judge would have avoided the death penalty.

The time for soft diplomacy is over. Let the Indonesian President know that there is a cost for his stubbornness, and that ALL financial aid is being stopped immediately.

I for one do not want any of my tax dollars to be sent to Indonesia, not now, now ever.

DISBELIEF
Andrew and Myuran deserve a second chance! Don't you think life in jail is punishment enough?? The Death penalty is simply ludicrous. For pedophiles and rapists sure enough, but for 2 young men who made a mistake and have transformed into fine gentlemen......?!?!
