I am applying for permanent immigration to Quebec from India.
I am a staff nurse by profession and am going to submit my application very shortly.
However,I have a couple of queries regarding my documentation to which I need clarification.
I shall be grateful if these questions are provided clarification from your end.
1. My name is Jaspreet Kaur and ‘Sappal’ is my surname. As is the practice in India sir name is not invariably used with one’s first name. In my case too, my surname ‘Sappal’ is mentioned on my passport but is not mentioned on my cerficates of educational qualification.
I need to know whether I need to submit an affidavit stating that Japreet Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur Sappal is the same person.
2. There is a similar problem with the name of my father. My father’s name is spelt with ‘v’ and ‘w’ on different documents pertaining to my qualification and some other documents. Thus, at some places my father’s name is cited as Jaswinder Singh and at others as Jasvinder Singh.
As in India , letters v and w are interchangeable in names and no strict distinction is maintained, this duality is spelling names is not uncommon. Therefore, I need to know if this requires any special clarification in the application.
my e mail i/d is sappalz1987@yahoo.com.
