@ Sherwin
Sherwin, you must have gone to a different embassy or is Liela yourself posing as "Sherwin".
We've been treated like rubbish from day one by this rude woman, Leila. She's obviously a very insecure person who misuses her power to cause unhappiness in people's lives.
We're on the verge of cancelling our entire wedding and honeymoon in South Africa due to this devil woman refusing to grant my fiancee a visitors visa, even though we fully complied with all documentation and proof of funds. She will never realise how much pain and sadness she caused and obviously doesn't care.
A Filipina should not even be doing this job. It's a South African embassy and heaven knows South Africans pay enough tax to have SA government officials do it.
I've also been refused entry by the guard, even though i'm an SA citizen. This goes against international convention.
Either way, Leila, you've made that the SA embassy in Manila will be taken to court. Soon. Something HAS to be done.

No offense, but im really amazed how a person like you with good experience and satisfied with the embassy's service is here again after his good comment! hmm... very...... concern. hey?

well, to make it clear and emphasized, im not being defensive... i actually think you are right... RESPECT IS A TWO WAY STREET... the thing is that, people/applicants KNOW they should obey and respect those who will process their visa because they know they SHOULD in order for their visa to be processed and granted. BUT... the staff of that embassy don't give the same respect back in return because they know they CAN and they know they have the power to cancel the application, ask whatever they "forgot" to ask whenever they want or ban the applicant/person if they want to.

i fully understand you didn't experience the rudeness, unprofessionalism and disrespecting that we experienced from them, but it doesn't mean what we are saying and complaining isn't true.

and let's not mention the guard, because i haven't met a security guard who acts as if he knows everything even though he doesnt and raise his voice to an applicant without a good enough reason. not to mention block a SA citizen and ask what his reason for coming and DECIDES wether it's a valid reason or not. pathetic!

South Africans flying into Kalibo
Good day,
I have been advised that South Africans cannot fly directly into Kalibo. They have to fly to Manila first and then to Kalibo.

Please advise if this is true.

I will be travelling from South Korea.

Shelby, there is no defense at all, respect is a two way traffic. I have been in contact with those staff members and i was never disrespected. If you respect , you will definitely get that in return. That Embassy is still welcoming as compared to other embassies where the security guards will throw you out if you do not cooperate. See Shelby, people must just comply and stop being on the defensive side like you if they do not qualify to travel to South Africa......

Fired Leila and Stephane
Leila Stephane they should be fired, Leila how can you treat your own people in such a disgusting manner, have you forgotten where you are from, have respect and there would not be so many bad comments regarding you, l bet my wages there will a positive comment about her, bec she will write one for herself, DO YOUR JOB, because you work in a Embassy don't believe you are above everyone, there is your people with little money trying to better themselves have a heart and help them with respect don't look down your nose to them. And Stephane he is just useless - knows nothing and is power crazy, you are a disgrace to your country full stop, l hope one day you are treated the same as you treat others, go home, get behind a desk in a government office, where you done interact with people, take a salary and be quiet it would be better for the world and your country

I think people complaining in this site were NOT talking about the Visa... it is about the people in the embassy. the people who were supposed to treat applicants with respect. the staff who only care if THEY are respected and do NOT care about the applicants.

READ the complains, don't set a defense right away.. ;)
