Comments on this Consulate-General
For years I've been going to renew my passport and I find nothing but misery, it's like being in a poor Mexican village, the office managers and some employees are extremely arrogant and rude to everyone, the system they have set up is a disaster. I called the number and the message says to set up an appointment go to consulmex etc etc for a faster appointment, turns out that there is no such service on that page they are all a bunch of ignorant people who have the privilege to represent THE MEXICAN GENERAL CONSULATE not the Mexican consulate general, I'm embarrassed of my own people
ME AND MY HUSBAND GOT MARRIED IN 2008. HE LET HIS PASSPORT EXPIRE IN 2005, HE LOST HIS BIRTH CERTIFCATE REALLY HARD TO GET AN APPT WITH MEXICAN CONSULATE THEY ARE REALLY RUDE WE PAID A LAWYER A LOT OF MONEY TO HELP HE DIDNT HELP GOT HIM A COURT DATE NOV 2017. WHAT CAN WE DO MY HUSBAND HAS NOTHTHING BUT AN EXPIRED PASSPORT PLEASE HELP
No one answers the phone, I have left 3 voicemails for someone who is supposed to assist in making appointments, and sent 3 emails. No return calls and no emails. I sincerely hope Mexican nationals are receiving better service than I am!
The phone tree needs fixing. It literally makes loops, and none of the extentions lead to anything except the initial phone tree. And the alternate number is only consistently busy.
But perhaps someone out there knows the answer - how do I serve divorce papers to someone in Mexico???
I have received excellent and patient service from Blanca. I couldn't reach the office via telephone, but my email was answered within 24hrs and Blanca has assisted me quickly and kindly with the information I need, and hopefully I will receive my visa in time.
Thank you to the hard work and kindness, Blanca!
I have been trying to be in contact with someone about visa information. I have called multiple times and sent multiple emails, but I have received no responses.
I am a US Citizen born of a Mexican mother who became a US Citizen years after my birth. I would like to apply for dual citizenship. What do I need to do/know to start this process.
thank you!

Do not dial the main number. It keeps looping you back to the main menu. There is no one home. There is no live person to communicate your issues with and no one responds to your email. This is absurd!
How is one to make an appointment to to see the person who handles Temporary and Permanent resident visa's when no one answers the phone.
