Hello all....I am 70 yrs young! I have researched and gathered all my apostile documents for a pensioner residency visa in Ecuador. Can I come to the Ecuador Embassy in Los Angeles and apply for residency visa at the Los Angeles embassy or do I have to go to Ecuador and get an attorney there to process my documents. I would like to find the most direct and least expensive way to handle this. Thank you all in advance for any information you can share.

I've contacted the Embassy and they were kind enough to reply and direct me to the Consulate of Ecuador. Unfortunately, when I call they don't answer, when I leave messages I don't recieve a response, when I email the embassy receives it but the council email bounces back and other times it goes through but there is just no response.
I was informed the Consulate of Ecuador could help transport my grandmothers body back to Ecuador and time is running out as the medical team informed us that she only has a week left to live. If anyone know who I can contact please let me know, I would really appreciate it!

I am a holder of Chinese passport (People's Republic) and American green card. I am retired from the United Nations Secretariat in New York and now residing in Las Vegas. My wife, an American citizen, and I plan to take a trip to the islands in Ecuador this coming December and would be appreciative if you could tell me whether I need a visa. If I do, can I apply through mail, or can I apply the visa in LA, which is closer to my residence. Thank you very much.

My experiencia con el Consulado Ecuatoriano de Los Angeles ha sido y es mi mejor experiencia sea para obtener como para renovar mi pasaporte. Yo solía visitar otro consulado porque me convenía mejor, pero los resultados eran frustrantes, hasta que visité el de Los Angeles. Santo remedio, en media hora lo obtuve todo. Eso si, recuerden de llamar primero para asegurarse de las horas y días de la oficina, y saber que documentos deben de llevar además del costo para obtener su pasaporte.
