Requesting for shelter
Hi,
This is to let you know that I have worked with British Forces as an Interpreter/Translator for the period of 1 year based in Kandahar and Helmand provinces. I am from Zabul province and everyone knows security situation is very worst in Zabul. After 1 year working with British Forces Talibans have started calling via Phone and threaten me and were told that "we will kill you". The Talibans were from Zabul province so I was forced by my parents to resign from this job and I resigned.
We (my family) immediately moved out to Kandahar and I have started work with the Governor of Kandahar in Governor Office at Kandahar. After working 2 and a half years with Governor one day I was going home from office 2 unknown persons riding motorbike have started gun firing at me but fortunately I got safe and at the same night unknown person called me and said leave the job and I did.
So, my life is in danger just because of working with British Forces. Before working with the British forces I had very well and free of fear life. But now, every moment of my life is full of fear and at risk.
I am requesting British Embassy to do something for hopeless Afghan Interpreters whom have putted their lives at danger for the sake of country and also helped you people in various issues during patrols in remote areas.
Thank you very much in Advance for your help.
Many thanks
