My Husbands Nephew is just 3.5 years old and his Mum applied for a visa for him on the 9th December to visit us for Christmas here in the UK. The visa still has not arrived and we were hoping it will come before the New Year. This would be his first visit to the UK and he is so excited as you can imagine a small child would be . His name is Yigit Aslan is there any way we can check as the status shows it's still with the office and a courier was paid for .. Kind regards
Applied for a visa for my daughter of 14 months.i am English her mother is Turkish and Alya has dual nationality. She has a British birth certificate and a Turkish passport. Because she hasn't yet got a British passport we applied for a visa on her Turkish passport so she could visit her English grandparents for the first time and so spend a family Christmas. Christmas has been and gone and New Year is approaching at a rate of knots. Only two working days before the end of 2013 and it's looking bleak.I've postponed our flights four times and this is the fast-track service. If a British citizen has to wait this long for a visa what hope is there? Very shoddy indeed!
I applied to the visa at 9th of December from Ankara, it is in visa section in Istanbul for 11 working days (saturday and sunday excluded). I have a plane ticket for 5th of Jan. 2014, and I started to worried about it. I have been supported by Turkish Ministry of Education, and the avarage time is 15 working from examples of my friends' applications.
Just I wanted to inform you about my situation, I heard that 25-26 are holidays, and Jan.1 so; I am more worried today.
If it is possible to check from my name salih , surname:cihangir, and maybe do something to accelerate to process, I will be very happy.
Sincerely,
Salih
This week I have been trying to make contact with Consulate office re an appointment for 30th December 2013 to hand in the relevant UK documents of importance REQUESTED by consulate for stamping...so as my fiancee and I can book our marriage in Bodrum.
