Hello Vishal,
Its true, Embassy is working 5-6 people on full stream to get the visas done they clear it up to 28-03-2014. i Hope you will get it on next week.
Nest week go and visit to embassy for more clarification.
Hi I applied for short visit visa on 22.04.2014, I had word with VFS office they told me that I will get visa after 1 month, I have to attend meeting in S.A on 12th May. My online status shows visa application received. Can any body guide me should I follow with embassy personally as my traveling date is near by or will get the visa before 10.05.2014.
I also had word with security guard on phone (embassy) he told me 6 diplomats are working in full stream to release the visa and I will get it before 10th may. Don't know should I believe him or not.

Please confirm the time take to issue the tourist Visa for South Africa

No Today is embassy open , but tomorrow is closed , Due to May Day. You should get the visa by now, people are applied on 28th March 2014, they got it..
Please call to VFS and find out.
I applied for dependent visa on 9 April still waiting for Visa.
